FAQ

FAQ

Numbers below are mechanics, not commitments. Anything that changes from season to season — the prize pool, how many winners each draw has, the level ladder — is on the season page. How the draw works, how tickets are earned and the claim rules are fixed, and they are described here.

About VoxPop

What is VoxPop?

VoxPop is a polling app. You answer polls about real-world outcomes, earn USDC for taking part, and earn points that move you up the season pass. Climbing the pass earns tickets for a raffle that runs every week of the season.

Who can play?

Anyone with a World ID who is 18 or over and not in a sanctioned country. You'll also need a World App wallet to receive payouts and notifications. The Terms of Service set out the full eligibility rules.

Is it free?

Yes. Voting is free, the season pass is free, tickets are earned rather than bought, entering the weekly raffle costs nothing, and there is no fee to claim USDC.

I'm outside the US — can I play?

Yes. A Rest of World season runs in parallel with the US season, with its own prizes, and you're placed in the season for the country you use the app from. The season page always shows your season.

Voting & polls

How do polls work?

Each poll has one or more questions. Some are multiple choice, some are 1–10 sliders. You answer all of them to submit a complete vote. You can vote on a poll any time between when it opens and when it closes, but only once per poll.

Why do I see different polls to someone else?

Some polls are written for a particular country or region, and some are matched to the topics you follow. A poll about a local election is shown to the people it's actually about. You can change the topics you follow from your profile.

Poll earnings (USDC)

How much USDC does each poll pay out?

In the Rest of World season, polls can carry a USDC reward for taking part. When a poll does, the amount is shown on the poll itself, and anyone who submits a complete vote earns it.

The US season does not pay per-poll USDC — in the US, rewards come through the season pass and the weekly raffle instead. Your season is set by the country you use the app from.

When do I receive my poll earnings?

Shortly after each poll closes, your share of USDC becomes claimable. Open the wallet drawer and tap Claim to send it straight to your World App wallet — it arrives on World Chain within moments, you do not wait for season end.

You just need a linked World App wallet, which is automatic if you signed in with World App. Unclaimed poll earnings expire 90 days after the season's declared end date.

Do I have to be "right" to get the USDC?

No. The poll reward is for honest participation — anyone who submits a complete vote earns it. Being close to the crowd, or right about the real outcome, earns you points and tickets instead.

The season pass

What is the season pass?

The pass is how a season progresses. Everything you do earns points, points move you up through the pass levels, and every level you reach pays out tickets for that week's raffle. It is free, and there is nothing to buy or unlock.

The season page shows this season's ladder — how many points each level needs and how many tickets it pays — along with the prize pool and how many winners each raffle has. Those figures change from season to season, so the season page is always the place to check them.

Two seasons run at the same time: one for the United States and one for the Rest of World, each with its own pass, prize pool and weekly raffle. Yours is set by the country you use the app from, and the season page always shows your season.

Do my points or levels carry over to the next season?

No. Points and pass progress reset when a new season starts, so everyone begins level one together. Tickets belong to the season and draw period they were earned in and are used there. USDC you have already earned is yours and is not affected by a season ending.

What is the season leaderboard for, then?

It shows where you stand against everyone else across the whole season. Prize money is paid out through the weekly raffles rather than by finishing position.

Raffle tickets

How do I earn tickets?

Six ways:

  • Answering a poll — answer at least one poll in a week and you get a participation ticket for that week's raffle.
  • Reaching a pass level — every level you reach pays tickets.
  • Finishing on the predictor board — each week ranks the most accurate predictors and pays tickets by where you finish.
  • Clearing a quiz — the first time you clear a quiz level, it pays tickets.
  • Hitting a streak milestone — voting on consecutive days pays tickets at each milestone.
  • Referring a friend — you earn 1 ticket once they sign up and complete their first poll.

The season page shows this season's level and predictor rewards. The streak rewards are fixed and listed below.

Which raffle do my tickets go into?

The one running when you earned them. A ticket is stamped with its week and its season, and only enters that season's raffle for that week — it is not saved up and it does not roll over. A ticket earned early in the week counts exactly as much as one earned just before the draw.

Is there a limit on how many tickets I can hold?

No. There is no cap — the more you earn in a week, the better your odds in that week’s raffle.

Can I buy, sell or give away tickets?

No. Tickets cannot be bought, sold, transferred or gifted. The only way to get one is to earn it.

Do I have to claim tickets?

No. Tickets are awarded automatically as you earn them. The only thing you ever claim by hand is USDC, via the wallet drawer.

The weekly raffle

How does the raffle work?

Two regions — the United States and the Rest of World — each run their own season and their own weekly raffle. Each week of your season has its own USDC prize. When the week closes, winners are drawn at random from everyone in your season holding a ticket for that week, and the prize is split equally between them.

Your tickets are your weight in the raffle. Holding more tickets makes you more likely to be picked; it never guarantees it, and a single ticket can win.

Your chance of winning ≈ your tickets ÷ all tickets in your season’s raffle that week

Nobody wins twice in the same raffle. The prize pool, the number of winners and the countdown to the next draw are all on the season page.

How do I know if I won?

The USDC is credited to your balance as soon as the raffle settles, and you get a notification. There is nothing to enter and nothing to accept — holding a ticket is the entry. Open the wallet drawer and tap Claim to send it to your wallet.

What if nobody holds a ticket that week?

If a week ends with nobody holding a ticket, there is nobody to draw and that week's prize is not awarded. It is not added to the following week.

Do raffle winnings expire?

No. Once a raffle prize is credited to your balance it stays there until you claim it, with no deadline. Poll earnings are the ones with a claim window — see below.

Points & streaks

How do I earn points?

  • Completing a poll
  • Alignment with the crowd
  • Accuracy against the real outcome
  • A perfect score, on alignment and accuracy separately
  • Daily streak milestones
  • Sharing a poll
  • Your signup bonus, once
  • Referring a friend, for both of you

Points are what move you up the pass, so anything that earns points moves you towards your next batch of tickets. The season page lists what each one is worth.

Do I have to claim points?

No. Points are awarded automatically. The only thing you ever claim by hand is USDC, via the wallet drawer.

What is the alignment bonus?

After a poll closes, your answers are compared to the crowd's aggregate signal. The closer you are to the consensus, the higher the bonus. Alignment is never about being "right" about the real world; it measures how close you are to the crowd.

What is the accuracy bonus?

When a poll resolves against a real-world outcome, you earn an accuracy bonus for how well your answers matched what actually happened. Alignment measures how close you were to the crowd; accuracy measures how close you were to reality. They are scored separately, so you can earn both.

How do I qualify for the predictor board?

The board ranks you on the share of your predictions that turned out correct that week. To qualify you need at least three predictions scored during the week and at least one of them correct.

Only polls that resolve against a real-world outcome are scored, so opinion polls do not affect your place. The board resets each week, and the season page shows the ticket payout for each rank band.

How does the streak work?

You build a streak by voting on consecutive days a poll is open. "Gap days" — calendar days with no active poll — don't break it. Each milestone you reach pays points, tickets, or both:

  • 7 days — 10 points and 2 tickets
  • 14 days — 15 points and 3 tickets
  • 21 days — 25 points and 5 tickets
  • 28 days — 40 points
  • every 30 days — 8 tickets each time

The 30-day ticket milestones keep coming as long as your streak holds, so a long streak keeps paying. Point milestones reset with the season, so you can earn them again next season. The 7, 14 and 21-day ticket milestones are earned once each — reaching 7 days again later does not pay tickets a second time.

Wallet & payouts

What wallet does VoxPop use?

It depends on how you use VoxPop. In World App it is your World App wallet. In a mobile or desktop browser you set up a VoxPop wallet with your email or Google account. Either way payouts are sent on World Chain in USDC, to the wallet linked in the app you are claiming from.

Do I need to deposit anything to play?

No. There is no deposit, no gas required from you, and no on-ramp step before playing.

Why does my wallet need to be "linked"?

Your wallet address has to be on file so we can send your USDC. If you completed the standard World App sign-in, it's already linked.

What happens if my wallet isn't linked when a season ends?

You can't claim USDC without a linked wallet. Link your World App wallet, then claim your poll earnings within 90 days of the season's declared end date. Raffle winnings have no deadline and will still be waiting.

Claiming USDC

Where do I claim?

Open your profile and tap your balance to open the wallet drawer. It shows your available balance, lifetime earned, and a single "Claim" button.

Do I claim poll earnings and raffle winnings separately?

No. One "Claim" button claims everything you are owed at once, and it all goes to the wallet linked in the app you are claiming from. The difference is when each arrives and how long you have:

  • Poll earnings — become claimable shortly after each poll closes, and expire 90 days after the season's declared end date.
  • Raffle winnings — are credited as soon as the raffle settles, and have no claim deadline.

How often can I claim?

As often as you want — no cooldown and no fee. There is a small $0.03 minimum per claim, so tiny dust amounts do not cost more in gas than they are worth.

Will I see my USDC immediately after a poll closes?

Shortly after a poll closes, the app works out your points and your USDC share, and your earnings become claimable in the wallet drawer. Tap Claim to send them to your wallet.

Account & privacy

Why do I need to verify with World ID?

We're fans of World's mission to support a human-only web experience. If you sign in with World App you are already verified and nothing more is asked of you. If you sign in with email or Google, you'll be asked to verify with World ID once — the first time you claim USDC.

Are my individual votes public?

No. Your individual votes are private. Only aggregate results across all participants are shown.

Can I have more than one account?

No. World ID enforces one account per verified human.

Troubleshooting

I voted but don't see my points or USDC.

Wait a few minutes and refresh. Points and per-poll USDC are processed asynchronously. If it's been longer than 10 minutes, contact support.

The wallet drawer says my balance is $0 but I just completed a poll.

Poll USDC is only credited after the poll closes, not when you submit your vote. The "pending" label on the poll card converts to "earned" when the poll closes.

I levelled up but my tickets are missing.

Check which week you are looking at. Tickets are stamped with the week you earned them in, so last week's tickets will not show against this week. If a level you have clearly passed never paid out, contact support.

I held tickets but did not win.

The raffle is random. Tickets improve your odds, they do not reserve a prize, and most ticket holders will not win in any given week. Nothing has gone wrong.

My streak broke but I voted.

A streak counts consecutive days on which a poll was open and you voted. If a poll was open and you missed it, the streak resets. Days with no poll at all are skipped and do not break it.

I forgot to claim my poll earnings before the season ended.

You have 90 days after the season's declared end date to claim poll earnings. Raffle winnings are not affected — they have no deadline.

My referral didn't count.

The person you referred has to sign up and complete their first poll. Once they do, you both earn 25 points, and you earn 1 raffle ticket.

Both of you also need to be identity-verified — with Orb, a passport/ID, or selfie verification — for the referral reward to pay out. This keeps rewards fair. If you signed up with only a basic device credential, complete verification from your Profile to unlock them.
